At C2 the difference is register and rhetoric. Formal Slovene swaps everyday words for elevated ones (reči → izjaviti, misliti → meniti) and binds an argument with discourse connectors: namreč (namely), torej (therefore), vendar (however), kljub temu (nonetheless), navsezadnje (after all). The strongest case states its thesis, supports it with evidence, concedes a counter-point, and closes — ne le kaj povemo, temveč kako.

text
· lift your register, marshal your argumentPrepričevanje je veščina, ki sega od vsakdanjega pogovora do velikih govorov. Dober govorec ne navaja le dejstev, temveč nagovori tudi čustva poslušalcev. Argument je močnejši, če ga podpremo z verodostojnimi dokazi. Kljub temu pretirano poenostavljanje hitro spodkoplje verodostojnost. Retorične figure — ponavljanje, primere, retorična vprašanja — dajejo besedilu moč. Navsezadnje ni pomembno le, kaj povemo, temveč predvsem, kako to povemo.

Persuasion is a skill that ranges from everyday conversation to great speeches. A good speaker does not merely cite facts, but also addresses the listeners' emotions. An argument is stronger if we support it with credible evidence. Nonetheless, excessive oversimplification quickly undermines credibility. Rhetorical figures — repetition, similes, rhetorical questions — give a text its force. After all, what matters is not only what we say, but above all how we say it.

Trdim, da je branje pomembno. Prvič, bogati besedni zaklad. Po drugi strani nekateri pravijo, da nimajo časa. Kljub temu menim, da se čas najde. Skratka, branje je vredno truda.

I claim that reading is important. Firstly, it enriches vocabulary. On the other hand, some say they have no time. Nonetheless, I think time can be found. In short, reading is worth the effort.
