To join two ideas — 'the company that interested me' — Slovene uses the invariable relative pronoun ki. Because ki never changes, the case is carried by a little resumptive clitic (ga, jo, mu…) later in the clause: človek, ki ga poznam (the man whom I know — accusative), šef, ki mu zaupam (the boss I trust — dative). When 'ki' is the subject, no clitic is needed: podjetje, ki me zanima.

Iskala sem novo službo več mesecev. Poslala sem veliko prijav. Končno me je poklicalo podjetje, ki me je zanimalo. Razgovor je vodila prijazna šefica, ki mi je postavila veliko vprašanj. Povedala sem o svojih izkušnjah in zakaj si želim to delo. Čez teden so me obvestili, da sem dobila službo. Sodelavci, ki jih imam zdaj, so res prijazni.

I talked about my experience and why I want this job. A week later they informed me that I'd got the job. The colleagues I have now are really kind.
