Slovene questions usually start with the question word, just like English. The core eight: kdo (who), kaj (what), kje (where), kam (where to), kdaj (when), kako (how), zakaj (why), koliko (how much / many). For yes/no questions Slovene adds ali at the front — Ali govoriš slovensko? (Do you speak Slovenian?).
