When a noun is the object of a verb — what you see, buy, have, eat, drink — it goes into the accusative (tožilnik). One change does most of the work: feminine -a → -o (voda → vodo). Masculine inanimate and neuter nouns look exactly like the dictionary form, so there's nothing to change.
