Na Primorskem jedo veliko rib in oljčnega olja, na Gorenjskem pa več mesa in krompirja. Vsaka pokrajina ima svoje posebnosti.

Slovenian cuisine is varied. The best-known dish is potica — a dough dessert with walnuts, which we prepare for holidays. The Carniolan sausage is also popular. On the coast people eat a lot of fish and olive oil, while in the Gorenjska region they eat more meat and potatoes. Each region has its own specialities.
