'Where from?' is Od kod si?, answered with iz + the country in the genitive: iz Slovenije, iz Anglije. 'Where do you live?' uses v + the locative: v Italiji. Languages take the adverb form (no capital): slovensko, angleško, nemško, italijansko — Govorim slovensko (I speak Slovenian). Countries are capitalised: Slovenija, Anglija, Nemčija, Italija, Hrvaška.
