ordinal numbers

Floors, dates, places in a queue — ordinals put things in order. They behave like adjectives, so they agree with their noun, but the words themselves are quick to learn. Match each one, then drill. About five minutes.

Ordinals (first, second, third…) are adjectives, so they agree with their noun: prvi dan (m), prva soba (f), prvo okno (n). Most are clearly built from the cardinal numbers — pet → peti, šest → šesti — but the first few are special: prvi (1st), drugi (2nd), tretji (3rd). Dates use them too: prvi januar (the first of January).
