comparative and superlative
To say something is bigger, better, or the best, Slovene tweaks the adjective with a suffix or a helper word. A few common ones are irregular — learn those and the rest follow a rule. Pick the form, then drill. About six minutes.

Most adjectives compare by adding -ši / -ji for the comparative and naj- for the superlative: lep → lepši → najlepši (nice → nicer → nicest). Long adjectives use bolj / najbolj instead: bolj zanimiv (more interesting). A few everyday ones are irregular — memorise them: dober → boljši → najboljši (good/better/best), velik → večji → največji (big/bigger/biggest), majhen → manjši → najmanjši. 'Than' is od + genitive: večji od mene (bigger than me).
