Retorične figure are the named tools of style. Anafora repeats a word at the start of successive lines. Hiperbola exaggerates (umiram od lakote, I'm dying of hunger). Poosebitev (personification) gives human traits to things (veter poje, the wind sings). A retorično vprašanje is asked for effect, not for an answer. Naming them lets you analyse a text — and deploy them yourself.
