Zato je medijska pismenost postala ključna veščina sodobnega državljana. Kritičen bralec preverja vire, prepoznava pristranskost in se ne pusti zlahka prepričati. Svobodna in odgovorna družba potrebuje obveščene posameznike.

The media shape how we understand the world. In the internet age anyone can publish their opinion, but at the same time it's ever harder to tell truth from lies. Fake news spreads faster than ever before. That's why media literacy has become a key skill of the modern citizen. A critical reader checks sources, recognises bias, and is not easily persuaded. A free and responsible society needs informed individuals.
