Particles add attitude and shading. pač (just/simply — resignation), ravno (exactly/just), saj (after all/but), menda (apparently/I suppose), žal (unfortunately), k sreči (luckily), pravzaprav (actually). They rarely have a one-word translation — you learn them by feel.
