The Slovene week runs ponedeljek (Monday) to nedelja (Sunday). Two are easy to remember: sreda (Wednesday) literally means 'the middle', and nedelja (Sunday) comes from 'no work'. To say 'on Monday' you use the locative with v: v ponedeljek.
